During the entire month of September 2018, we took part in the ARA Innovation Space Let’s Circulate Closing Exhibition. The aim of the exhibition was to present “projects by artists and entrepreneurs around topics of circular economy, which envision innovative approaches to reduce resource consumption worldwide in the areas of construction, textile, plastic, products design and circular business models” (to learn more about it, click here).
We were in charge of the ‘Sharing Economy part’ of the exhibition and we exhibited some interactive pieces, where people could actively participate and tell us how they envision Vienna as a sharing city.
With our Sharing CityScape, a ‘3D questionnaire’ for which we upcycled our NoMoneyZone, we introduced the public to different enterprises existing in Vienna, be it small-scale, non-profit, large-scale , or commercial. It was up to them to decide for themselves which of those enterprises and initiatives are a part of “true sharing” or which are just business as usual.
With our Map Jam, we wanted the people to share with us the initiatives they know about, their favourite things to do for free in Vienna or their favourite (public) places to hang out, by literally putting those spots on the map. Finally, with Space Share, our ‘live instagram feed’, we wanted to discover and learn what people share in their everyday life and get to know how they understand the meaning of sharing.
Hit us up if you want to know more about Vienna Shares or about the different activities and games we offer! We’d love to share them with you!
